Joining Converseon

Update, April 6, 2006: My heartfelt thanks to everyone who wrote to congratulate me – by e-mail, via comments, or on their blogs – on my new job. I am humbled by your support and confidence and (while I don’t think for a second that I deserve the embarrassingly nice things you said about me) I’ll do my best to honor your trust.

Converseon logoStarting today, I’m joining Converseon as Director of New Media Strategies (here’s the official press release).

I’ll be part of a great team lead by Rob Key, and I’ll do my best to help Converseon’s clients figure out this “new media thing.” It should be a challenging exercise to promote the values of the blogosphere (authenticity, voice, passion, openness) and the need to participate now in the conversation happening online, while acknowledging that it takes time to change the corporate mindset. No chance to get bored :)

I will continue to work on my current projects (the PR Blogs List and the NewPR Wiki, among others) and to write on this blog. And, generally, I will continue to be myself :)

Finally, a big thank you to all of those –too many to be mentioned here– from whom I’ve learned so much in the last three years. It takes a village to raise a person, nowadays :)
